I've almost decided that I'm going to adjust history somewhat for this little layout. The Mill is already a corruption, the siding turnout is a left rather than a right, it was all I could get, so the Mill doesn't have the crescent-shaped frontage of the prototype. I'm probably going to be bending the timeline of various alterations and additions too.
Referring to the photo in the previous post, the through line is going to curve towards the back, is towards the siding, giving the impression of another turnout off-scene to the right. This didn't happen in reality, as it would have to cross the station approach road, but the station was closed in 1964, and I'm going to assume it was demolished and the goods lines reimagined slightly, allowing access to old Shipley Wharf from the Mill siding. This will have a small sector plate.
The other lines are going to be included as truncated and partially lifted siding stubs. These will have a separate small sector plate.
Uh-oh, I just realised while writing this that there is no connection between the two parts…
Hmmm.
Anyway, heres the current plan. The black card represents the stub sidings roughly. The sector plates are fitted on a plug-in extension that is structurally complete.
